A Great Listener
Biography
I was born in a country rich in tradition, where storytelling runs deep in our veins. Nearly all of Wales's history was passed down through storytelling until print came into existence. I've continued the way my ancestors told stories, here in Australia, now in a way that can be immortalised for generations to come.
From an early age, I've always been a great listener. I began a pathway in music performance, playing pieces of music by ear on the piano. Sound became the puzzle that would occupy me for hours and hours and still does to this day.
As I began studying, I became drawn to the technical side of sound in a way I hadn't really encountered before: screen sound. By the final year of my degree, it became apparent that I had found my new life-long puzzle. I delved deep into the world of screen sound and found my strengths in on-set sound, podcasting, composing and post-production sound design.
As an AFTRS graduate and now based in Sydney, I'm now working as a freelance sound recordist and designer and ready to fall deeper into the sound rabbit-hole.
